in the advertising world!
here’s one:
Don’t it just touches your heart?
I thought it’s clever to use a dog to depict our emotions.
the prized possession.

What’s your take on the below ads?
It can be a double edged sword.
Definitely an eye catcher and attention grabber.
I would categorise the irritating part as the wow factor.
frankly, how much it takes to stand out in the crowd?
especially in this competitive market.
laughter, that’s all it takes to be the talk of the town.
Infamous – a whole new ball game, a whole new strategy

Another great production by late Yasmin Ahmad.
I was grieved that she had left us but her works will continue to inspire others.
This ad touched me once again with a lesson to be learnt.
You don’t need rich children to make you happy.
Money is not everything.
You can spend half your life making money and be proud of your children’s accomplishment but to have them surrounding is the true meaning of life.
You can have the richness in the world but Love of a family is life greatest blessing
I will forever miss you mama without a chance to show my love to you…

This is a beautiful advertisement featuring the iconic beatles soundtrack “In My Life” read by Scotland’s infamous actor. The music, the voice over believed to be Sean Connery, the places and the lyrics just blends in.
Shown in International channels such as CNN and CNA those that I know.
The effectiveness of this ad is how it touched the hearts of those who are far away from home, working or studying missing their loved ones…
There are places I remember
All my life though some have changed
Some forever not for better
Some have gone and some remain
All these places have their moments
With lovers and friends I still can recall
Some are dead and some are living
In my life I’ve loved them all

who would have thought?
This got me laughing as I was indulging with the thought of what a woman want.
I wanted to scream with the ladies until I heard the men and burst out laughter.
Heineken did it with a strike of balance. not too heavy, not too strong with a little twist of humour at the end.
I must say it was unexpectedly entertaining

Hasbro recently transformed a construction zone in Singapore into a huge play area, complete with sandpit and digger, with the addition of a well placed hoarding and colourful bucket and spade.

The Sandpit campaign was developed at Y&R Singapore.
While the project is very impactful and wow on sight. I feel that the investment is far too huge for renting the site and constructing the ad. The reach isn’t as far and you probably have to drive traffic to the specific location. Nonetheless, we haven’t had something that physical and huge for some time ^^

Agency: Scholz & Friends, Berlin, Germany
One of those outdoor print ads that left me an impression.
Depicts situations of people in the wrong jobs.
I personally love the ice cream maker
Well executed with a self explanatory tagline, humour and exaggeration that works.
Good placement and relevance.
Definitely deserve a mention in adswow

Two of the best German high-volume entry luxury-model lines having their own fair share of fun placing clever rebukes.

BMW ad was produced by Juggernaut Advertising of Santa Monica
Audi ad was produced by San Francisco ad agency Venables Bell & Partners.
Believe it or not, it was meant to be “friendly”
Nevertheless, we will remember this billboard “war”.
Defensive and responsive.
